FAQ
ROI calculator questions
How is ROI calculated?
ROI = (return − investment) ÷ investment × 100. Investing $2,000 and getting $2,600 back is a $600 profit and a 30% ROI.
What should count as the investment?
Every cost of the project: ad spend, tools, freelancers, your team’s time. Leaving costs out makes ROI look better than it is.
Does ROI account for time?
No. A 30% return over one month and over three years both show 30%. To compare investments of different lengths, look at the yearly (annualised) return as well.
