FAQ

CPM calculator questions

How is CPM calculated?

CPM = total cost ÷ impressions × 1,000. For example, $500 for 200,000 impressions is a CPM of $2.50.

What does CPM stand for?

Cost per mille, mille being Latin for thousand: what you pay for 1,000 ad impressions.

What’s the difference between CPM and CPC?

CPM is the price of 1,000 impressions, whether or not anyone clicks. CPC is the price of one click. To compare them, CPC = CPM ÷ (1,000 × click-through rate).

What is a good CPM?

It varies widely by platform, country, audience and season, so compare against your own past campaigns on the same platform rather than a general benchmark.
